WITH THIS RING, I THEE WED...

"With this ring, I thee wed," my darling I have kept,
For forty eight years, each year a step, on higher ground in depth;
God molded us and bonded us and made us one in heart,
Thus, one in heart with Christ our Lord, completed His great Art !

"With this ring, I thee wed," my darling is now gone,
I kissed the dew upon his face, with tears and tears of love;
I looked upon him, glowing ever, for God in Christ was there,
Leaving behind his smiling face, heaven's sunshine in the air !

"With this ring, I thee wed," my Saviour, He will keep,
I'll love and serve and sow His Word, together we shall reap;
Then someday, when earth's journing's end, my eyes will behold,
My darling with our King and home, THE BEAUTY OF IT ALL !

"Face to face shall I behold Him, far beyond the starry sky,
Face to face in all His Glory, I shall see Him, by and by."
